After being contacted by The Times of Israel, the IDF rectified its mistake regarding a video of a strike in southern Lebanon’s as-Sultaniyah, where a senior Hezbollah commander was killed. The original video, published by the IDF, depicted a separate strike on a Hezbollah position in Kafr Kila, inaccurately labeled as the strike on the commander. The IDF acknowledges the error and states that measures have been taken to prevent similar mistakes in the future.
Additionally, the IDF confirms targeting Syrian Army sites in southern Syria following rocket fire on the Golan Heights. The military reports targeting sites in the town of Mhajjah and shelling another Syrian Army post and the rocket launch site with artillery. Overnight, two projectiles were fired from Lebanon at the Misgav Am area, causing no injuries.
Furthermore, the IDF confirms carrying out a strike in Gaza’s Maghazi camp, targeting Hatem al-Ghamri, the head of the so-called emergency committee in the central part of the Strip. Al-Ghamri, reportedly an operative in the Hamas military wing responsible for rocket fire from the Maghazi area, was among those killed in the strike, according to Palestinian media reports.
